Marc Surer präsentiert in der Motorshow TCS den neuen Ford S-Max 2.5 Turbo. Extérieur Unser heutiges Testauto, der Ford S-Max, kostet in unserer Testversion 53'720 Franken kostet. Vom Hersteller wird er als "Sportvan" bezeichnet. Er findet seinen Platz zwischen einem Kombi und einer Grossraumlimousine wie dem markeneigenen Galaxy - mit dem sich der S-Max übrigens die Plattform teilt - oder dem Konkurrenten Chrysler Voyager. Diese Charakteristik ist auch von aussen erkennbar: Die Front steigt zwar vantypisch in einer Linie zum Dach hoch, ist aber weniger steil. Von der Seite ist der S-Max aber ein ganz normaler Fünftürer. Schiebetüren wie bei einem ausgewachsenen Van sucht man vergebens. Kombitypisch ist dann wieder die Dachlinie, die zum Heck heruntergezogen wurde. Öffnet man die Heckklappe, wird die Zwitterstellung klar. Der S-Max ist ein sportlicher Lademeister oder nach zwei Handgriffen ein fast ausgewachsener Siebensitzer. "Fast" deshalb, weil das Einsteigen für die hinterste Sitzreihe eine Kletterübung ist, die nur durch das Umklappen des Rücksitzes möglich wird. Intérieur Im Innern fällt als erstes das aufrecht stehende Lenkrad auf sowie die hoch gebaute Mittelkonsole. Das gibt einem das Gefühl, mitten drin zu sein. Die Bedienung des Bordcomputers über Tasten am Lenkrad macht Sinn und versorgt den Fahrer über das zentrale Display mit allerlei wichtigen, aber auch unwichtigen Informationen über Fahrt, Verbrauch und technischen Messdaten. Ford's award winning 'kinetic design' styling is the star of the company's new pan-European brand TV commercial. Shot in a London studio, the commercial marks an evolution in Ford's advertising strategy, adding multi-model brand commercials to complement its traditional model-specific campaigns. Five of Ford's key new models - the Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Kuga and S-MAX star in the new advert, which sets out to visualise the key philosophy of the company's award-winning kinetic design form language used across the range: that the latest Ford cars look like they're moving even when standing still. The story portrays an urban car chase with a twist. Although the storyline appears to show the cars in motion, the vehicles never left the confines of the film studio as the vast majority of the action was filmed with static vehicles mounted on bespoke electro-hydraulic turntables.
